Alden Parker is the managing partner of Fisher Phillips Sacramento office and represents employers in all facets of employment law matters. His clients are involved in a variety of food chain related industries. From restaurant, hotels, growers, packers, shippers, and grocers. Alden works tirelessly on behalf of employers from the farm to the fork. Alden has considerable experience defending employers in single plaintiff and Class/PAGA litigation. Those claims have involved the California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), California’s wage and hour laws, Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), California Family Rights Act (CFRA), and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA). Alden has also defended employers against whistleblowing and retaliation claims, including claims under the California Whistleblower Act and various provisions of the California Labor Code. Alden has extensive experience defending employers in federal and state court, as well as in investigations by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the California Civil Rights Department (CRD), United States Department of Labor (DOL), California’s Agricultural Labor Relations Board (ALRB) and the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). In addition to defending his clients in litigation, Alden frequently counsels employers to assist them in avoiding litigation. He regularly advises clients on leave management issues and wage and hour compliance.

Benjamin M. Ebbink is a partner in Fisher Phillips’ Sacramento and Washington D.C. offices and Co-Chair of the Government Relations Practice Group.

With over two decades of experience in the intersection between labor and employment law and public policy, he focuses on legislation and regulations enacted at the federal, state and local levels. Benjamin assists employers with navigating evolving legislative and regulatory landscapes in a variety of areas. He is also a member of the firm's Artificial Intelligence Team, where he monitors, the rapidly-developing regulation of artificial intelligence at the federal and state level.

For nearly 15 years, Benjamin served as Chief Consultant to the California Assembly Committee on Labor and Employment where he was the primary policy advisor on labor and employment matters for the California State Assembly. He played a key role in virtually every major labor and employment issue to come before the Legislature during his tenure, and personally drafted hundreds of legislative proposals. During his service in the Legislature, Benjamin earned a reputation for his integrity, his ability to work with diverse stakeholders on all sides, and his skill as a problem-solver.
