With 2023 starting, there are many new laws coming into play that would trigger the need for an update of employment handbooks. This webinar will address these new laws and compliance issues. This webinar will discuss new laws as to the expansion of the California Family Rights Act and California paid sick leave law and who an employee can take leave to care for under these laws, bereavement leave, expansion of the scope of laws related to discrimination as to off job cannabis use and reproductive health decision-making, pay scale and pay data information reporting, workplace safety and the definition of “emergency condition”, updates to COVID-19 related laws and notice and posting requirements and the expansion of CalSavers.
