A growing number of cities and states are passing predictive scheduling laws that require employers to provide advance notice of work schedules, offer compensation for last-minute changes, and maintain detailed scheduling records. As these requirements expand beyond traditional retail and food service industries, more hospitality employers are finding themselves subject to complex new compliance obligations. This session provides a practical overview of the predictive scheduling landscape, including which jurisdictions have enacted laws, who is covered, what the notice and recordkeeping requirements are, and steps employers can take now to prepare.
