The Food Manager training begins at 9am, sharp. The Food Manager exam session is scheduled to begin around 2pm, and run until 4pm (2-hour limit to the exam).
If you are only scheduled to take the exam, please arrive no later than 1:30pm. You will not be allowed to sit in on the training, but need to show up early for registration.
Food Safety Training: ServSafe Food Protection Manager Class + Exam California State law requires each [individual] food service establishment to have at least one employee who is certified in food safety and sanitation. This one-day session will review the key terms and concepts from the ServSafe textbook (included in the registration fee).
The accredited exam will be administered at the end of the review session and is a ninety-question, multiple-choice exam. Examinees need to score 70 percent or higher to pass this exam. Certification must be renewed every five years.
Important notes:
* You are not officially registered until you receive a confirmation e-mail from the CA Restaurant Association with the location address, instructions, and a receipt of your registration.
* All sales are final and no refunds will be issued (unless training/exam session cancelled).
* You may transfer your registration to a new training/exam session date, but a fee of $50 will apply.
* This training/exam session is subject to cancellation due to low enrollment. You will be contacted by the CRA in any case that a training/exam session is cancelled. If cancelled, you will have the option of transferring to a new training/exam session date (free of charge), or receive your money back.
